Welcome to “Sophie-Charlotte-Gymnasium” (SCG)!

Our school is centrally located in the heart of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and lies in close vicinity to the „Kurfürstendamm“.

Here, at SCG, we attach great value to bilingual education. Our school offers a bilingual branch, which enables students to study subjects such as geography, biology and political science in English.

Another focus at SCG lies on nurturing a positive and supportive social climate as well as to sustaining respectful peer and adult relationships. For this reason, the anti-bullying program “Contigo” constitutes a pivotal part of our school program.

Our teachers do not only cooperate very well with each other but also use innovative teaching methods and approaches to stimulate creative learning processes, encourage active participation, and make their classes interesting for students.

During the school year, we implement a number of project days to broaden our students’ social competencies and to improve their learning strategies. Moreover, we offer various exchange programs with France, Belgium, and even the US. Our students can choose between a wide range of extra-curricular activities. In addition, our annual summer fair combined with a number of different theater performances and school concerts contribute to a strong feeling of togetherness among our students and teachers and, furthermore, make it possible for students to earn extra credits and additional qualifications.
